Job description
- To prepare monthly and quarterly job
schedule
To allocate audit staff to audit assignment
- To plan audit assignments including preparation
of APM
- To ensure that all arrangements for the
audit are communicated to the client, including
work to be performed by the client, expected
costs, and billing arrangement
- To identify and arrange any special work
that is to be undertaken for the client
during the course of the audit assignment
- Quality, cost and time control using
budgetary control system
- To provide adequate briefing for audit
staff
- To supervise and review the work undertaken
by the audit staff
- Problem solving and reporting to both
the client and the engagement directors, including
any expected cost overruns, together with recommendations
- To review the completed audit files
- To attend final meetings with clients,
and to ensure that they receive the audited
financial statements and management letter on
a timely basis
- To monitor work in progress
- To ensure that audit assignments can
be reasonably recovered and to bill clients
on a timely basis
- To liaise with clients throughout the
year and to ensure that the firm provides a
consistently high quality of client services
- To identify opportunities for firm to
provide additional specialist services to clients,
and to report these to the engagement director
- To liaise with other departments to ensure
that additional services are provided to the
client throughout the year
- To assist in the preparation and
presentation of formal proposals to potential
clients

Specific requirements |
| |
- Degree or Diploma holder with major in Accounting
- Not less than 5 years solid audit working experience
- HKICPA/ACCA student member (finalist)
- Able to supervise a team of audit staff independently
- Knowledge of updated auditing standard is an asset
